St. Francis’ Signature Mixed Nuts

Ingredients

4 c of assorted nuts: walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, cashews, pecans (use whatever nuts you love, even pumpkin seeds)

2 T olive oil

3 T butter

2 T brown sugar

1 tsp cayenne (ground red pepper)

1 tsp Lawrys Salt

1 tsp white pepper

1 tsp curry powder

1/8 c chopped rosemary

Place nuts on a baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Next, place the remaining ingredients into a sauté pan and sauté on low until butter is melted. When butter is melted, pour this mixture over your 4 cups of nuts (that you have previously baked for 10 minutes) and mix well. It is best to put the partially baked nuts in a big bowl then dump the butter mixture over them. After you have mixed the nuts and butter mixture, place on a baking sheet and bake for an additional 10–12 minutes at 400 degrees.

Let nuts cool and serve or place in an air tight container for up to 3 weeks.
